I was wondering if you had any good sources for some cute knee length denim shorts. I've seen some cute ones that look like cut-off jeans, but are more finished looking. Any ideas? Thanks!

Shorts are everywhere this season! Knee length shorts... not so much. I found a few pairs that were close to knee length, but only one that really hit the mark:

ReplyDeleteOld Navy has some right now that are really cute, and about $25. They have differetn washes, and hit right above the knee. The ones you posted are okay, I don't like the drawstring, though.
ReplyDeleteI just bought some nice, dark-wash bermudas at Macy's. They are "Bandolinoblu" brand and they are nicely tailored and not distressed. I love them! I wish I had 3 pairs of them! They are actually a little longer than my knee, which I love because my knees are not my best feature! :-)

I don't think I would wear these. The drawstring looks a little too old-fashioned for me, and drawstring pants in general create problems when I want a smooth waistline. Shirts can't lie properly when there is a big bow in the way!

I have these. I think they are cute, but I found them to be not as tapered at the knee as they look in the picture, which is crucial in my opinion for a flattering fit with longer shorts. In the end I went to Target and J.Crew and got some cute shorter shorts. ;)
ReplyDeleteUgh...I love these longer shorts that have been around lately, really I do. Because I'd rather not show my behind to the world, but I can't find a pair that looks good on me! I'm bigger in the hips and thighs and though I'm not short, I do have short legs (long torso). I feel like this length only calls attention to that region. Anyone else have this problem? Have any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteI got a couple pairs of denim shorts two years ago, and went to put them on this summer and found out that they were a little long on me. {Weird, right? I'm 5'8"!} So I rolled the cuff, and bam! They look more stylish, and they fit me perfectly! You could also do the same thing with a pair of cutoffs -- cuff the ends {even once would look so cute} and they look great.
