Look for Less: Sweater in Horse Print

When this Asos sweater started floating around pinterest this week, I realized I had seen a comparable version at F21.

ASOS Sweater in Horse Print - Asos - $51.23 (Orig. $64.03) {also available in petite}
Equine Knit Top - Forever 21 - $19.80

The sleeves are clearly shorter on the budget version, but the rest of it is spot on.

What do you think? Is this something you would wear?

Spied: Rio Blue High Waist Kickflare

This fall, I am really hoping to score an awesome pair of high waisted jeans. Not huge butt, mom jeans, but retro inspired awesome jeans. Like these:

Rio Blue High Waist Kickflare  - Asos - $26.51 (Orig. $64.03)

I think they are the picture of perfection. And they are by far the best looking option I have found under $50 (in this case way under $50).

And, Asos offers free standard shipping and returns. No minimum or code required. Pretty awesome huh?

What do you think? I would love to wear them with this outfit.

Friday Wishlist: Rust-Colored Full Skirt

Dear Forever 21,
It would be awesome if you carried all the items you use in your promos. I am completely in love with this  skirt and my heart broke a little bit when I realized that it isn't for sale.

You should work on that,
Madeline

Reader Request: Frye Paige Tall Riding Boot

I got this request last week,

Girl, I am in LOVE with these boots. Why do they have to be so expensive?? Could you find a cheaper alternative?

Thanks!!
Cerina
{Frye Paige Tall Riding Boot - Zappos - $348.00 }

I found quite a few options. I separated them by price. These are my $50-$80 options:

Wide Calf Knee-High Leather Boots with Classic Buckle Strap - Roaman's - $79.99
MIA Pali - Tilly's - $49.99
Eastwood Boots by Very Volatile - Piperlime - $75.00**

And these are my under $50:

Journee Collection Buckle Accent Crinkle Vamp Hidden Wedge Boot - Target - $44.99
Faux-Leather Riding Boots - Old Navy - $44.94**
Merona® Manette Double Buckle Tall Boots - Target - $39.99

My favorites are marked with asterisks. What  are your favorites? Is this a look you would wear? Leave your thoughts below.

Spied: UO Ecote Hamptoms Skimmer

I am a sucker for a striped flat. I love the understated nature of this one, and the perpendicular trim at the back! And they are on sale:

Ecote Hamptons Skimmer - Urban Outfitters - $19.99 (Orig. $29.99)

What do you think? Are these something you would wear? Leave your thoughts below.

Inspired: Emersonmade {blouse + high waist}

Do you guys know Emersonmade? They are a fantastic (if out of my budget) clothing company. Every time I see their outfits, I fall in love. Case in point:

{image}

Everything about this look makes me happy. The pattern, the proportion, and the accessories. And today I was able to seek out a great option for less:

Lee® Comfort Waist Straight-Leg Jeans - Kohls - $36.99
Mihalkovic Clutch - Aldo - $24.98 (Orig. $40.00)
Breezy Blouse - Old Navy - $29.94 {available in a whole host of colors}
total: $91.91

I would buy the blouse a size or two larger than your usual size, both because the reviews indicate that the bust is a bit tight, and also because I love the proportion of an over sized blouse.

What do you think of the look? Is it something you would wear? Leave your thoughts below.

Outfit Under $100 {mustard + coral}

Bright pants have invaded my thoughts. They are all I can think about (fashion-wise, that is). Also, I am mildly obsessed with short sleeve tops that aren't boring. Because, guess what you guys? I only have boring short sleeve shirts. When I lived in Utah I was all about cardigans, and whatever looked good under them. It is far too hot where I live now to be wearing cardigans for probably half of the year. I have to rethink my game plan. So, this is what I wish I were wearing.

Animal Print Woven Tee - Forever 21 - $15.80
Coral Seed Bead Necklace - Charlotte Russe - $7.50
Kimchi Blue Linen Skimmer - Urban Outfitters - $19.99 (Orig. $29.00)
Vibrant Skinny Jean - Forever 21 - $19.90
total: $61.19

What do you think? Is this something you would wear? Leave your thoughts below.

Look for Less: Belstaff Air Bomber Jacket

I saw this look for less at Cheap Thrill, and thought I would share.

Belstaff® Air Bomber Jacket - J.Crew - $1,1950.00
PU Bomber - Delia's - $49.50

Obviously, the J.Crew option is real leather and the Delia's version is faux, but I quite like the cheaper option.
