This Week

Last week we had a few family pictures taken for our Christmas cards. Here is a sneak peek. Look for my favorite shots in a post next week.

Here are a few links to take you into the weekend:

I am crushing on this fair isle sweater for winter.
I want to wear this outfit every day until February.
I am smitten with this sweet sweater (and it's half off!)
Now that I can wear earrings, I am loving with this pair.
These fabulous riding boots are on sale with free shipping.
This is such a great idea for protecting cheap jewelry.
These pop color pants are on sale again.

We are planning on trimming our tree & decking our halls this weekend. I can't wait.
What are your weekend plans?

Refashion: Gold and Grey Heartbreaker Top

I have been dreaming about creating my own version of this J.Crew Heartbreaker sweater since the moment I laid my beady little eyes on it. It's a bit more casual than the original, but I love how it turned out.

Inspired: Gap Fair Isle & Boots

I haven't been able to get this look out of my mind.

For some reason, not even Gap has that fabulous sweater. That's why I am so excited to see a similar sweater from Old Navy.

Fair Isle Cardi - Old Navy - $40
Ribbed Boot Socks - Bloomingdales - $6.50
Long-Sleeve Crew Neck Tee - JCP - $9
Stacked Heel Boots - Forever 21 - $32.80
Skinny Knit Pants - Forever 21 - $22.80
Chambray Shirt - Coldwater Creek - $11.49

What do you think? Something you would wear?

Sale: Forever 21 Stylist Picks

I have a little admission to make. Black Friday completely overwhelms me. In the week leading up to the retail holiday, my inbox was flooded with sale notifications and it was just too much. I didn't know where to start. Want to know about the special deals I got over the weekend? I didn't get any. I buried my head in sand face in pie.

Review: Scoop Back Blouse

Y'all know how much I love Jem Apparel. I was super excited when Jenny, the owner, was kind enough to send me this scoop back blouse (which I have had my eye on for months).

I love the subtle print, the silhouette, and the pretty scoop back.

Make sure to check out all the tops at Jem.

Spied: Ditsy Heart Print Sweater

Hearts are in. I'm into hearts. Big time. I've been ogling this sweater from J.Crew and was really excited to see a good budget option.

Ditsy Heart Print Sweater - Forever 21 - $24.80

Here are a few other hearted sweaters I would love to have:

PS - I've got a fun little heart DIY project coming up this week. So keep your eyes peeled.

Look for Less: J.Crew Giant Bow Sweater

I know it's a bit on the early side, but I have Christmas on the brain. I am already knee deep in holiday music playlists & am about to bust out the tree. I think a bow sweater would be such a festive thing to wear this holiday season.

giant bow sweater - j.crew - $73.50 (orig. $98)
lace wool bow sweater - kohls - $20 (orig. $50)

The J.Crew sweater is so cute, don't you think? I also like this option.

Spied: Polka Dot Sweater

I was so excited when I saw this sweater pop up online at Forever 21. I actually found it in store a few weeks ago & despite the tropical nature of where I live, brought it home with me. I can always wear it when a cold front moves through, right? Right.

It's incredibly similar to this Gap sweater I have been eyeing for months.

Polka Dot Sweater - $17.50
(also available in cream & black and mint & white)

It's tough to find polka dot sweaters for a good price right now & they sell out fast. Here are the best ones in stock now:

Inspired: J.Crew Style Guide

J.Crew put out a new set of looks to love, and I think they are great dressing inspiration for the holiday season.

Here are some noteworthy pairings (with my favorites marked with a *):

That heart sweater and red pencil combo is killing me dead. Dead.

Since we are talking J.Crew, I should mention that they are offering 30% off of their clearance section. Here are a few notable finds:

DIY: Frenchie Sweater

Over the last few weeks, I have become increasingly obsessed with dogs on sweaters. It started with this J.Crew sweater and I couldn't let the idea go until I had one of my own. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one for less than $40. I made this one with less than $10 in materials.

This Week

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks:

Here are a few links to take you into the weekend:

I am loving this pretty dress for winter.
This is far & away my favorite fashion instagram feed.
I caved and bought these flats (they are perfect).
Now that I can wear earrings, I am smitten with this pair.
This fabulous skinny belt is on sale with free shipping.
This dressed up pony tail tutorial looks awesome.
I think these patterned pants are rad.

I am planning to hit up the Gap Outlet with this coupon + head to the farmers market this weekend. What are your plans?

Must Have: Animal Prints

I am loving animal prints lately. I don't mean leopard and cheetah (though I am really in to those too), I mean repeating silhouette prints. They give some of the same punch of a large polka dot with an extra kick of whimsy, and I love me some whimsy.

1 - Ditsy Swan Cardigan - $22.80
2 - Longline Ditsy Feline Sweater - $22.80
3 - Ditsy Horse Print Pullover - $17.80
4 - Ditsy Elephant Sweater - $22.80
5 - Soaring Bird Print Sweater - $22.80
6 - Ditsy Horse Print Button Up - $19.80

I like them all, but I think I am partial to the horse print blouse. What's your favorite?

Spied: Essential Buttoned A-Line Skirt

I spotted this sweet skirt at Forever 21 & wanted to share.

I think it has a J.Crew vibe, don't you?

As I have mentioned F21 does a surprisingly good job of keeping modest skirts in stock.
Here is the latest batch (all under $23):

Many of the skirts I have featured in the past are still in stock.

Spied: Scoop Back Squirrel Sweater

I am so into tops with animal graphics right now. Unfortunately, most of the animal tops I find are way more money than I want to spend. When I saw this sweater, I fell head over heels for it. How cute is that squirrel?

Cooperative Scoop Back Intarsia Knit Sweater  - Urban Outfitters - $19.99 (Orig. $49.00)

What do you think? Tell me if you are into the animal graphic tops now too.
