Inspired: Kate Spade {Dotting Around}

Oh Kate Spade, how I love thee! I often go months without looking at the Kate Spade website, because not only can I not afford it, the looks are so cool they are often difficult to recreate. I have only done it once before.

I was actually looking at the Down East Basics clearance section and it sparked the idea that I could recreate this Kate Spade inspiration outfit.

{dress + cardi = $790}

Here are the pieces I think reflect the feel of that outfit:

Spotlight Dress - Down East Basics - $10.00 (Orig. $38.99)
{and if you go in store and find one of these, you can get it for 30% off, yep, for just $7}
Elbow-Length Sleeve Rosette Cardigan - Express - $19.99 (Orig. $49.50)
{Express's clearance section is chock full of major discounts - and lots of pretty cardigans}
Ultra Skinny Leather Belt - Forever 21 - $4.50
Misbehave Women's Extra-3 Wedge - Endless - $20.06

TOTAL: $54.55 <---- do you see that guys? Best to total in quite some time (pats herself on back, haha)

So, what do you think of this little Kate Spade ensemble? Would you wear it? How about the look for less?

Thanks for reading,

Happy Shopping!

  1. Great redo! And thanks for the head's up on the UO Jellys - so cute!!

  2. It's great! That dress is a fantastic find. Can't believe it's $10!

  3. Really cute!! I wish I had your talent of putting together outfits

  4. Great job!! I love this outfit but the dress is sold out online. Great prices - you are amazing!!

  5. It's a pretty old fashioned look so I am sure it can easily replicated with pieces one might have at home. Too bad the dress is already sold out.

  6. It's a bummer the dress sold out. Yesterday morning when I posted, it was still available in M&L. So go the risks of shopping clearance.

  7. oh i love those sweet polka dots.

  8. Great! I think the outfit is really cute and classy at the same time. The black and white with colorful shoes is super cute. :)
