DownEast Basics: New Arrivals

So, something has occurred to me. Running two blogs is twice as hard as running one. What have I gotten myself into? haha. Truthfully, I am so in love with the idea of the boutique, I know it's not going anywhere. Have you guys seen that we have 45 43 things in the shop and 5 6 things have sold? It's all so fantastic. Still, all this blogging is making me sleepy.

Enough about me. On to the post:

I have been very impressed with DownEast Basics lately. Their spring roll out is no exception. Here are a few things I wouldn't mind getting my little hands on:

Satin & Bead Necklace - $14.99
Fancy Tee - $16.99
Top Tier Skirt - $34.99 {I had my hands on one of these from last season at the Warehouse, but opted not to get it, and now I am trying to figure out why?}
Multi-Strand Pearls - $8.99

What are your thoughts on DownEast Basics? The spring arrivals? The awesomeness of the boutique? (kidding). Leave a comment!

Thanks for reading,

Happy Shopping!

  2. I think DownEast Basics has some amazing stuff, but I think the quality is a bit hit or miss. I got an adorable little swing jacket from them that I loved until my co-worker mentioned to me.. 3 hours after I put it on for the first time.. that it had a hole in it. Kind of disappointing, but it happens. Overall, I have had really good luck with their stuff and it's adorable. I doubt I'll shop their store without the additional 50% off of clearance codes you give out though. At that price, the quality is excellent :)

  3. Madeline, I am going to try to find some time to take pictures of some clothing for the boutique. I love the idea! Good luck with it all!

  4. I am so loving DownEast Basics right now. I think this spring I'm going to buy one of their pretty necklaces, four or five Fancy Tees, and wear them with jeans every day! {But seriously, how can you go wrong with such classic pieces?}

    I think the boutique is going really well! I haven't participated yet because 1. taking pictures takes time, and 2. my shopping budget is gone for this month. Soon, thought, I'll be all over it! And I think you're doing a great job with both blogs. :)

  5. I figured you must have been working very hard since the boutique listings are going up constantly! You are doing a fabulous job on both, so don't stress too much. Also, I am loving all of the DownEast items you picked- they are all so special and affordable.

  6. Taking pictures does take time! I have only uploaded 4 of my own things (2 have already sold). But I am going to add some more tonight. At least that is what I am telling myself.

    But the faster you upload something and it sells, then you have a little money to play with to buy something from someone else (this should be a lovely domino effect of clothing exchange!)

    Sarah- I also generally buy on sales there (but that's true of my purchases everywhere!)
    Thanks for all your lovely comments!

  7. Do you know what the hours are for the Warehouse? Are they only open certain days?

  8. I had my hands on that skirt too! I'm kicking myself now for not buying it. I LOVE the new catalog. gReat stuff.

    and i LOVE the boutique! I think consignment stores are sometimes too picky and I hate the embarassment when they take NOTHING. :-)

  9. @Stephanie-

    I don't remember the exact hours, but it's open Mon-Sat 10-4 or something. I can only get there on Saturday because of that. But it's usually worth the trip!
