How great is it when you put on a coat and you find a $20 in the pocket? This weekend I experienced the digital equivilent. I was cleaning out my inbox when I stumbled on an E-gift certificate to Forever 21 my sister-in-law, Olivia (thanks again!), gave me for birthday (which was in July). I got it while roughing it in Alaska, so it totally slipped my mind. The best part of this discovery is I am under a self-imposed shopping embargo. So, I totally felt like a kid on Christmas morning. I thought I would share with you what I bought:

Removable Pin Cardigan - Forever 21 - $15.80
Cardigan obsessed? Guilty! But I really like the shape of this, and it reminds me a bit of this outfit by E. on academichic from a few weeks ago. She gave me the bug for a slouchy grey sweater (which I am SO excited to pair with some ankle cropped pants come spring, yes, I am already talking about spring).

So, what do you think? Did I make a good choice? What would you have picked? Leave a comment!
Thanks for reading,
Happy Shopping!
I think you made a great choice! I have no idea what I would pick... I was browsing the website for a while, but had to stop for my own safety.
ReplyDeleteI *love* the the J. Crew bouquet sash belt. They are gorgeous. I should have bought a black one when they were on sale to go with my LBD...
(Also, I recently took a bunch of my never-worn clothing to a consignment shop -- I took courage from the fact that I knew you had done it successfully -- and I went shopping with the money I got. I didn't consider it to be breaking my rule, because I didn't use any new money.)
I'm a first time commenter here - just wanted to say I love your blog, love your style, love what you chose! I'm kind of having a little happy obsession with flower pins at the moment though so that makes the cardigan you chose even better!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute sweater! And that removable pin will be super versatile. Great choice!
