I feel I have created this world where time is no object, and fashion is all that counts. It is a place where you all read some of my thoughts on a regular basis, but don't necessarily know me, and so I hesitate to share too much of myself. I have decided it is time to tell you all what is going on in my life, as it will effect the blog.

I have made a decision to cut back on the number of posts I write and the requests I take for my own sake. I have set a pattern of posting every week day, and every day I "miss" a post, I feel guilty. I have decided I need to focus on feeling better not on worrying about writing 5 posts a week. So, my goal is to write about 3 a week, if I feel good that week, it may be more, and if I don't, it may be less. I hope you all understand.
I really do appreciate each and every one of you for giving me a place to share my thoughts and to explore my sense of fashion and for trusting me to help you with discovering yours. It's been a wonderful year of blogging, thanks for coming along for the ride.
I hope and pray that your physical wellbeing improves. Your health must be a priority and thankyou for sharing your journey!
ReplyDeletePlease don't feel guilty; I'm sure we'll all love whatever posts you have the time/energy for! Hope things look up for you soon :)
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself! Your health is so much more important than keeping up with this blog (or anything else, really). We will continue to read and love whatever you feel well enough to post.
ReplyDeletedon't worry too much about fulfilling any amount of posts a week, all i hope is that you keep yourself well :)
ReplyDeleteWe will all be ok, but you need to make sure that you are ok first.
ReplyDeleteyou and your health is waaaay more important than fashion (I know..hard to believe ;)
ReplyDeleteget well, we'll all survive on 3 posts or less easily!
Merry Christmas!!
I hope you get better soon! We'll be right here when you're ready :)

ReplyDeleteYou absolutely should not feel guilty. Take care of yourself and get well soon!
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog, and it is a great read. Even if you drop to a few posts a year, I'll keep reading. Take care, feel better. You have to find a way to get through your days, and that is more important than anything else.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the blog-o-sphere myself, and dove right in to following a WHOLE bunch of blogs all at once!! Now i find myself having to weed a few out. Yours will NOT be one of them. Thank you for your time and effort, and GO GET HEALTHY for God sake!! We will still love you even if we only get 1 post a week!!
ReplyDeleteAww, don't feel guilty! I hope you feel better and take good care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
Take care of yourself, and blog when you can, internet friend!
ReplyDeleteI love you Madeline! Take care of yourself and don't stress about the other stuff, It's not important. I know the feeling on your picture. For different reasons, but I often miss the person I "used" be. Life has changed me and sometimes I'm not sure it has been for the better. Here's to hoping that it all makes us stronger, right? Get better girl!
ReplyDeleteI've only begun reading your blog in the few weeks, but I enjoy it very much. And, even though it means "less for me!" I applaud your desire to make your well-being your priority. I hope that you feel better very soon.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else is saying, it sounds like a good decision to re-prioritize and take care of yourself. I love your blog and will check in when you have the time and energy to post, but put your health first. Take care and feel well soon! Look forward to your (less frequent) posts!
ReplyDeleteI completely understand how you feel. I started blogging back in February about my sewing projects. I feel that if I don't blog once a week I am letting people down that follow it, so I announced a few days ago on my blog that I was taking a break. I understand the exhaustion, somewhat. I tend to push myself to the limit and have a hard time just resting. I have considered completely stopping my blog because I feel weird "putting myself out there." I don't know why. I don't feel that way about other people who blog because I love reading blogs.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I see blogs out there who have been in existence about as long as mine, and they get twice as many comments on their posts as I do. It makes me wonder whay is wrong with me. I just want you to know I understand the stress and I think you do a fabulous blog, and just do what makes you feel comfortable and less stressed.
Madeline,
ReplyDeleteIt is honorable that you are being so honest with yourself and your readers. We all support you! In the end you will end up happier having taken care of yourself.
You Have my prayers!

Hey, do you love all these comments? I hope they keep you motivated to continue the blog, as long as it's working for you. I have chronic headaches and am often tired from allergies, so I can feel for you. Thanks for the honesty.
ReplyDeleteThanks to each and every one of you for being so kind and supportive.
ReplyDeleteI have the best readers ever!
I found your blog awhile ago and love it! I don't know if this helps, but my mom suffered from bad migraines her whole life, and was tested for Celiac disease and was positive! Now her headaches are a lot better. Get well soon! :)
