Wish List: Pretty iPhone Case

I got a big surprise on Mother's Day. My husband bought me an iPhone, which has been on my wish list for ages. I have been searching for a case that will protect my phone and that will be adorable (obviously).

Here are a few I have stumbled on in my search:

1 - Printed iPhone 4 Case - J.Crew - $25.00
2 - Thin Stripe iPhone Case - Plum Street Prints - $55.00
3 - Golden Diagonal Stripe iPhone 4 Hard Case - Kate Spade - $40.00
4 - Neapolitan Stripe Custom iPhone 4 Case - Pencil Shavings Studio - $39.99
5 - Nautical Stripe Deflector - Uncommon - $34.95
6 - Printed iPhone 4 Case - J.Crew - $25.00

I like them all, but I think my favorite is #4. Which would you choose?

  1. I would not do the kate spade if it is a rubber or silicone one - mine has totally stretched out, and at that price it should have lasted much longer!

    1. I have heard a lot of concerns about the durability of Kate Spade cases!

    2. I second that - even the plastic ones are terrible. I bought one because they were just too darn cute and it made my phone really slippery and did zero protection! I think I dropped my phone more times WITH that new case than any other case. Plus they're really bulky. :-/

  2. you should try society6 - they feature tons of artists work and will print their work on a iphone case for like $30. THat way your's can be 100% you AND support the artist of your choice!

  3. I got a personalized photo case for my iPhone4, at http://www.mydesign.com/cadeaux-4euros-personnalises-1714/coque-telephone-iphone-4-495.html . The pros are that it's one-of-a-kind if you use your own photo/text, and it's a durable quality case. Cons are that it's sleek and shiny, so if you're looking for something to add traction while you're holding it, a leather or vinyl cover might be a better bet. I used a ridiculously funny photo where my cat photo-bombed me, and it makes me smile every time I see it.

That site is in France, and I'm not sure where all they ship, but you may be able to find something similar in the States by searching under Personalized iPhone cover.

  4. I like #4 also! I'm seriously thinking about getting my next case from that shop -- I love the multicolored houndstooth pattern.

  5. I definitely love #1, anything floral is super cute!

Also, I found this tutorial a while ago and thought you might enjoy it:

It's a super cheap and personalized option!

  6. #1, didn't know they made them that cute! Love your blog, by the way!

  7. #5 speaks to me. Preston got me an Otterbox cover/case for Mothers' Day, which isn't as stylish, but I really like it. I hope you love whichever you end up getting!

  8. those are all cute-- i love #5. but i would suggest getting a case from the etsy store called vintageprintage. my friend makes cases and they are super durable. i have this tribal one http://www.etsy.com/listing/92343125/tribal-horizon-multicolor-cell-case and it is awesome. they even come with rubberized cases to go inside to protect your iphone.

  9. #1 or #5...oh my gosh but they are all so pretty. and I really like #4 how it says hello on it haha.

  10. #4 is terribly adorable but as an artist I also second the "Society6" iPhone case suggestion. :)

  11. I just bought the brand new 32GB iPhone 3G S and I would really rather not damage it any time soon.

I've heard that the best types of cover to buy is either the silicon covers or the rubber covers. Is this true?

  12. I have a love hate relationship with covers. If you are using it to play music and putting it on any speaker doc you end up removing because the case is to large. Pick one that is slim and still shows the bottom and top. Good luck!
