I recently got this request from Emily,
Hi Madeline!

I'm trying to find a bargain shoe, and knew if anyone could help, it's you and your blog. I'm looking for a dressy, black platform for my summer wardrobe similar to the Steve Madden ones below -- but they're $100. Any ideas?

I found a few options (none of them dead ringers, but all decent options):

Aerosoles Women's Guava Plush Wedge Sandal - Endless - $29.95

    Target has ones just like the first pair for $29.99 I believe!

    Target has similar ones (from Dolce Vita for target) for 29.99. Also got very similar looking to the Steve Madden ones from ALDO factory store for 35.99 (they have a patent finish to them)
