Inspired: Anthro Look {Toffee & Olive}

Last week, I did a post on an Anthropologie outfit. You all seemed to really like the post and Rachel asked me to take a stab at this outfit:

This cardi, blouse, belt, & earrings ring in at $322

I love the look of this! I did have a hard time finding another striped cardigan, so I substituted a solid white one. Here is what I came up with:

Ruffle Front Cardigan - Macy's - $29.99
Python Blouse - Charlotte Russe - $39.99
Stretch Double-Buckle Belt - Old Navy - $10 (Orig. $16.50)
Intricate Tassel Earrings - Forever 21 - $5.80
TOTAL: $85.78

What do you think of the inspiration look? How about the pieces I found? Leave a comment!

Thanks for reading,

Happy Shopping!

  1. Love the inspiration look! The stripes make it but I can understand how that would be hard to find. Great work on the new look. :)

  8. Madeline -- I think you did a great job. As you've mentioned before, sometimes there just aren't spot-on less expensive versions; the details are what make certain pieces expensive. But I think the cardigan definitely captures the same feel, even without the stripes. And I love the blouse! :)

    {And I'm sorry you got a rude anonymous comment -- those are the worst.}

  9. I think you did a great job imitating the Anthropologie outfit (I have no idea what the anonymous commenter is talking about- very rude indeed). I love that belt..does Old Navy still have it? I want it!

  10. @Mary - exactly!

    @Amy - Thanks! that belt is still in stock online. I haven't noticed it in store so I am not sure if you could find it there.

Well...have a good day and it looks like you have a lot of fun on this blog-thingy-ma-jigg. I have a goal to never have one. Anyhoo...stalling doing homework so have a good one.

  12. I think these are great, and I'm another one who wants the belt!
    I tried to find a striped cardigan, too, but I didn't have much luck either. Urban Outfitters has one but it's not drapey:

    (sorry I have no idea how to shorten that! so embarrassing!)
    I found a drapey striped one here, but the stripes aren't thin and it's more of a gray color:

    Anyway, I really enjoy your blog, especially these 'inspired' posts!! Keep up the good work!

  13. I found this striped drapey cardigan at Heavenly Couture for just $15. It doesn't have any of the ruffle, but if the subtl stripe is more important to you, check here.

    Thanks for you picks and comments Megan!
