Friday Wishlist: Double-Cloth Townhouse Trench

You know what I miss? Tailored clothes. As I mentioned here, the only parts of my closet that fit right are the stretchy things. All of my tailored clothes are too snug. The few that I can get on make me feel like a stuffed sausage. Sigh.

I saw this coat, and I let out an audible "ooohhh". The fit is insanely perfect.

Double-Cloth Townhouse Trench - J.Crew - $350.00

What do you think? Is this something you would wear? What's your fashion dream this week? Leave your thoughts below.

Happy Weekend.

  1. Love the coat, but would want it longer. My fashion dream this week is a sweet leather bolero, striped shirt, corduroys, and some wicked awesome boots.

  2. Love that coat. It's the perfect coat for fall.

  3. The coat is fabulous. Longer would only be good for cold climates. I live in California so I think this is the perfect length. My current fashion dream is finding clothes that all mix together. I'm in the process of losing weight and I'm having so much trouble finding clothes that complement each other. Don't want to spend loads since I have 20 more to lose!

  4. Just read your 'mentioned here' post and I want to tell you that post-pregnancy I'm in the same boat as you for awhile, but there is hope!! With both of my kids I was pretty much back to pre-pregnancy weight in 3 months or so, but my body was still very different. My hips and ribs are spread out (I am an unsuccessful breastfeeder so my boobs are not bigger, just droopier from being stretched out) Anyway, things tend to go back to normal when I hit 6-8 months post-partum. My hip bones and ribs slowly migrate back to where they are supposed to be, and things fit again! Although, I have heard from breastfeeding moms that it sometimes doesn't happen until they are through breastfeeding, because of the hormones. So it will happen for you eventually, just be patient!

  5. Love it. I actually just ordered the Lands End Canvas Double Breasted coat in camel.

    Similar look, a little less.

  6. GORGEOUS, Madeline!

I just found a wool coat at DI for $8 a couple weeks ago. It looks & fits like a $250 coat from Anthro that I actually considered paying full price for a couple years ago. It was so worth the wait. LOVE it.
