Under Twenty: Woven Cutout Bag

I love this bag. I think it makes such a statement. It doesn't hurt that it is magerly discounted too!

Find it from The Limited for just $16.99 (orig. $39.50), here.

Have a Happy Weekend!

Under Twenty: Patterned Hobo

Why not get that bag that fits eveything in a pattern that screams summer?

Find this one at Target for just $15.99, here.

Under Twenty: Braided Clutch

I love the texture on this fabulous clutch. It's also available in black and purple.

Find it at New York & Co. for $13.96 (orig. $19.95) here.

Under Twenty: Rose Hobo

I am a strong believer in carrying a bag that can hold everything I need. Like if I want to throw my heels in my bag when I walk to work, I want a bag that can easily accomodate that. This is probably why I have a huge Hobo bag.

Get a bag big enough for your needs, from Charlotte Russe for $19.99, here.

Under Twenty: Initial Wallet

The graphic on this wallet really makes a statement.

It's still available in 12 letters. Find it for just $12.99 (orig. $18.00) from Urban Outfitters, here.

Weekend Round-Up

This week's retail info to share:

Charlotte Russe is offering free sunglasses to Seventeen Magazine readers. The story is you just have to take in the cover of the magazine or a print out of the Seventeen Magazine home page. Read all the details here.

I recieved an email from Uptown Cheapskate, containing this coupon:

{Click on the coupon to print it full-size}

The GAP Inc. Family has a new addition, it's called Athleta.

"Feminine, performance-driven apparel that transcends sport into all your casual adventures"

The stuff isn't "cheap", like $35 for a tee? I mean, you can get something at J.Crew for less than that. But, it's an interesting concept, and maybe they will have good sales.

As a side note, the premium coupons are back up at Old Navy Weekly. The site was refreshed last night. They have gotten much trickier with their coupon hiding (not that I didn't know how to get the coupon, the rolling ball was just moving SO fast!). Some of the lesser coupons are still available if you want to go grab one.

Does anyone have any retail information to share? Please leave a comment!

Something Crafty Again

So, once again I don't have a retail post together for today. My night of craftiness is Wednesday night and it leaves me ill-prepared on Thursday morning. But, at least my craft was fashion-related this time.

Remember these earrings from last weeks Things Under Twenty? This week, my friends and I tried our hands at making them. They really weren't that hard (as soon as we got past what fabrics we wanted to use). I need to give a big thanks to my Mom who found lots of fabulous fabric for me to choose from. And do you see those fabulous bright yellow flowers? Those were buttons from a suit she made for herself in her newly wed days. The suit is long gong, but she managed to hold on to those amazing buttons. Anyway, I will try to post a tutorial on this next week. In the mean time....

Happy Shopping!

Earth Day Savings

Several different stores are offering special deals in honor of Earth Day (Wednesday, April 22):

Forever 21 will plant a tree in your name if you buy this super cute tote (for $1.75):

I wrote about this one in the Round-Up last week (the deal is good through Thursday):

This deal from the Taylorsville Plato's Closet is pretty interesting. If you sell $20 worth of clothes to their store they will give you 20% off of your next purchase. Thrifting and consignment shopping are sustainable practices.... so get your green on and save.

Does anyone else know of any noteworthy Earth Day savings? Leave a comment!

Mix-It Up

I like the idea of pairing a higher quality piece of clothing with bargain finds. It creates an interesting mix. Here's an example (ringing in at $98.28):

Stones & Jewels Necklace - $6.80 from Forever 21

Deep V Sweater - $11.50 from Forever 21

Stretch Satin Pencil Skirt - $49.99 (orig. $88.00) from J.Crew

Coral Platform Pump - $29.99 from Target

This beautiful skirt is on sale over at J.Crew (and is also available in champagne and navy, but maybe you guessed that I prefer the slate.)

I love the unexpected combo of yellow and coral (and how amazing are those shoes?)

Under Twenty: Open-Front Cardigan

I actually have this cardigan, and I even wore it yesterday. I wear it all the time. Wear it open to be casual or belt it for a more tailored look.

Find it at Old Navy for $15.00, here.

Under Twenty: Floral Flats

Have I mentioned that I love patterned shoes? No? Ok, I know I have said it a million times... but it hasn't stopped being true. Dress up your feet with these.

Get them for $14.99 from Cutesygirl, here.

Under Twenty: Coral V-Neck Tee

This basic takes center stage, thanks to the bright pop of coral. (Also available in 4 other colors)

Get it for just $11.95 (orig. $15.50) from American Eagle Outfitters, here.

Under Twenty: Button Earrings

My good friend Erin has a pair of these earrings, and from the moment I saw them I was in love. Get some for yourself.

They are just $12.00 on pistolready82's Etsy Shop, find them here.

Under Twenty: Knit Open Cardigan

I love this knit open cardigan. It's springy and versatile. Pair it with a bright tee or tank, jeans, and sandals.

Find it for $17.95 from Heavenly Couture, here.

Weekend Round-Up

Old Navy is having a deal:

It's pretty self-explanatory. If you buy a reusable tote for a dollar you will save 10%. Those totes can be used over and over and will really come in handy in the future. The deal is an in-store deal, and is good until next Thursday (4/23).

Also, I got this comment on one of my posts,

"Hi Madeline P,

We are just stopping by to fill you and your readers in on the latest Oldnavyweekly.com news.

Coupon hunting will get trickier this week. The coupon values and when they’ll be added to the site are only known by one person and that Modelquin has her pretty, plastic lips sealed for the time being. Stay tuned for what promises to be the most exciting week yet at OldNavyWeekly.com

Good luck and happy hunting!

Nicole D.

Brand Advocate working on behalf of Old Navywww.oldnavyweekly.com"

Interesting that they commented on my little blog, but I am happy to have the info, and even happier to pass it along.

Payless Shoe Source is running BOGO (Buy One Get One Half Off) again. The deal goes through May 4th.

Salt Lake Fashion Stroll:
If cool clothes are something you’ll step out for (or into), check out the biggest-yet Salt Lake Fashion Stroll on Friday. Local boutiques and designers come together to put the lights on Broadway (300 South) with runway shows starting at 7 p.m. (I found this on Your Heart Out).

That's all the retail info I have to share this week. I do have a series of Things Under Twenty coming up. So check back frequently.

Something Crafty

Last night I didn't have time to get a post together, because I was having my weekly night of craftiness with my friends. But I am so happy with my completely unfashion-related craft:

We made these fridge magnets using images (or scrapbook paper or similar), glass rocks (from the dollar store), and magnets. SO EASY! And I love love love how they turned out (I mean I keep walking in the kitchen just to look at them). Find the tutorial here. (Thanks to Amanda for finding the tutorial in the first place!)

These are the images I used. I found them on the visual bookmark site, We Heart It (which I read about at Say YES! to Hoboken). I searched for things like swing, jump, shoes, field, and balloon (can you tell I am ready for spring?)

Anyway, that's all I have for today.... but I will be back with a round-up tomorrow!

Thanks for reading,

Happy Crafting!

Anthropologie: The Look for Less

{Find all my Anthropologie related posts here}

This outfit from Anthropologie is all about the burst of beadwork. As usual I am in love with everything about this outfit except the price tag. Here's my budget breakdown:

The Dress:

Beaded Dress - Chadwicks

Zanzibar Dress - Anthropologie

I know the Anthropologie dress is on clearance. But, I really like the longer length and straps on the Chadwick's dress. I just don't think I could keep a tube dress up without grabbing it all the time, and looking like a fool! ;)

The Cardigan:

Open Cardigan - Forever 21

Spring Sightings Cardi - Anthropologie

The Belt:

Tan Pyramid Stud Waist Belt - Windsor

Loneland Belt - Anthropologie

The Earrings:

Hammered Hoop Earrings - Arden B.

Stardust Earrings - Anthropologie

The Shoes:

Wooden Buckle Ankle Strap Heel - Go Jane

Prepster Peep-Toe Heels - Anthropologie

Reader Question: 15 Dollar Store

I got an email from reader, Sarah, asking about the 15 Dollar Store.

"I was just wondering what and where is the $15 dollar store. I live in Provo so I was wondering if there is one anywhere close."

So, according to their website,

"THE15DOLLARSTORE.COM is in the business of providing fashion conscious Juniors the highest quality, in-season clothing at extremely reasonable prices. With frequent new arrivals, our customers are assured of discovering a broad selection of name brand clothing which can be found at well known department stores at full price. While designer names, labels and fashions are constantly changing, one thing remains the same... THE15DOLLARSTORE.COM is committed to quality Junior clothing at the greatly reduced price of $15.00."

As far as I can tell there are no physical locations of the store. Apparently, there used to be a store in Santa Monica, CA, but it is not there anymore. So, if you want to grab great finds from this store, online is the only way to go.

Thanks for reading Sarah, and thanks for your question!

If anyone else has a question, feel free to contact me at uberchicforcheap (at) gmail (dot) com.

Down East Liquidation Sale

DownEast is running a once-in-a-season liquidation sale on their off-price clothing. Apparently, they can’t advertise the many national brands that they will carry. But, for the best deals in town (60-90% off national prices), you’ll want to be at the DownEast Outfitter store in Provo, April 14-18!

I know in liquidation sales in the past, they have had merchandise from J.Crew as while as American Eagle Outfitters. The markdowns at these sales are usually to die for. {link}

DownEast Outfitters Store
2255 N. University Pkwy (Next to Albertson's)
Provo, UT
Tuesday, April 14 through Saturday, April 18

Have any of you been to the liquidation sales in the past? Let us know if you have any more information on this sale, or if you have a chance to get to it.

Weekend Round-Up

A few retail tidbits to share:

First, Gateway has some new budget friendly shops. Both Shade and DownEast Basics are coming to the shopping center. The Shade (which is next to the Payless and Forever 21's upstair entrance) is already open. The DownEast Grand Opening starts today, at 10AM. And, to make the opening even better take this coupon with you when you go:

This coupon is valid through the weekend (at any location), so take advantage!

NEW DownEast Basics - Gateway Mall (on main level)
18 North Rio Grande Street
Salt Lake City, UT
Friday, April 10, 2009 at 10:00AM through Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 6:00PM

I read about an amazing deal at Banana Republic Factory Stores over at Budget Fashionista. Through April 16th, all items will be 40% off. Originally, I read that you could get 30% off one item, 40% off of two items, and 50% off of three items, but apparently that got too confusing. Luckily, there is an outlet up in Park City. Don't live here? Find an Factory Outlet near you. The deal is good until April 16th.

American Eagle is offering Free Shipping this weekend when you order 2 or more Clearance items (my kind of deal!). Good through Sunday. Coupon Code: 78965034

DSW is offering Free Shipping with a $29 purchase (which means with almost any purchase), if you get a Free DSW Rewards membership. Find my favorite clearance styles here. More info on the membership here.

This is the only post for the day, I hope you all have happy weekends!
