Remember this dress I was pining over a few weeks ago?

I wasn't the only one pining and plotting to have one for myself. Kayla, of Freckles in April, actually did something about it. She created this watercolor print on a simple silk and made a sheath dress.

Daniel's blog is ridiculous, in the best way. I stumbled across a project of his at Apartment Therapy, moseyed to his blog and couldn't stop reading. I went all the way through his archived posts on my first visit. He has been creating some beautiful and clever projects in the short time he has been blogging. But what really keeps me coming back is his witty writing.

A Whole Mess of Staples - Daniel took an incredibly basic unfinished IKEA bed and uphostered the whole thing, Crate + Barrel style. Genius.

Tessa's blog is incredibly new (started less than a month ago), but it has completely caught my attention. I stumbled onto her fashion blog through this feature on Breton Stripes at What I Wore.

One of the most amazing things about her blog is her keen sense of fashion at 16. I only wish I knew anything about my style at her age.

If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time you will have noticed references to Mary's blog. From the very first read, I knew Mary's Wishlist would be one of my all time favorites. As she says, she started the blog as "a way for me to express my love of clothing without going super-psycho and buying everything at J. Crew." Her style posts keep budget and modesty in mind.

If you have been reading my blog for some time, you already know that I am a fan of Chloe. I have been following her blog for months and have mentioned it several times. Her outfits of the day are filled with a mix of interesting colors and patterns. She also skillfully combines high and low end items in the same outfits. She is a great writer to boot. And on top of that all, she writes a second blog, see chloe shop, where she keeps on top of all the recent online sales. It's pretty incredible.

This week, I wanted to talk about Kendi Everyday:


Kendi started her blog just a few months ago, but it has taken off like you wouldn't believe. But, it's not hard to see why. She has great personal style, that's unique and accessible at the same time. It also doesn't hurt that her husband is a photographer, showcasing her outfits in a beautiful and artistic way.

She also has a fair amount of personal content. She shares tidbits about her life that are incredibly relatable. Her anecdotes about trying to dress fashionably while in the midst of her coworkers are especially funny.

Blog Love: Freshly Picked

Sometimes I am reading a blog and I think, "Other people should know about this!" I usually add it to my blog roll, but I don't think that has the 'shout it from the rooftop' effect I am going for. So, occassionally, I'll share a blog that is tickling my fancy.

First up, Freshly Picked:

I have been reading this blog for about a year, and it just keeps getting better. Yesterday Susan posted a tutorial for taking in the waistband on jeans:


I have never been so excited about a DIY in my life. I often buy pants that fit wonderfully through the hips and thighs and gap like crazy at the waist (if you are an hour glass or pear shape, you know what I am talking about).

She also posted a tutorial for a simple elastic skirt with pockets a few weeks ago. As well as pointing readers to a tutorial to add pockets to any skirt or dress, freaking fantastic.

And to top it off, she's quite funny.
