Spied: Forever 21 goes Maternity

Today I got an email from Forever 21, proclaiming the deals you'll find at their Fourth of July sale {the discounts for the sale are great, make sure to check it out}. In the teeny tiny bottom corner they mentioned Love 21's new maternity line. Can I just tell you how excited I was? Really excited.

It seems like a natural progression from teen clothes to plus size clothes to grown up friendly clothes to this. I am most excited about the price points, especially the pants. If I can find a pair of maternity skinny jeans for less than $15, I am going to be so stoked.

The line is pretty small right now, but I spotted this top and dug it instantly.

Striped Jersey Knit Maternity Top - Forever 21 - $10.80

What do you guys think of the top? How about Forever 21's choice to carry a maternity line?

Summer is my favorite time to wear skirts and dresses, they are a great option for staying cool while keeping covered. Anthropologie has had this idea in mind with their latest batch of outfits. I love this one with a bright pop of color on the skirt.

EVO Wrap Up

As I mentioned last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend EVO (the evolution of women and social media conference). I am so grateful to Avery for sponsoring my admission. I had the chance to get to know 8 other ladies who were also in the Avery crew.

Melissa | Stephanie | Rachel | Amy | Emily | Alma | Michelle | Kristina

We had the opportunity to attend so many wonderful keynote addresses, seminars, and meals. I took in so much information that it's hard to talk about it all. I think the message that most resonated with me was that of blogging authentically {Stephanie posted some wonderful thoughts on this}. I honestly think that this conference has made a lasting impression and will definitely impact how I blog from here on out.

Melissa (who I roomed with and talked with more than I thought possible in the 2 days we were there) was kind enough to take an outfit pic of me on the final day (as well as let me borrow her sweater when I stained my top).

{downeast basics cardigan - borrowed, chambray skirt - i made it {tutorial 1 + tutorial 2}, shoes - payless}

Spied: Forever 21 Bow Cardigan

I spotted this sweater yesterday and fell in love. It reminds me a bit of this Ann Taylor sweater I posted about a few months ago.

Hey Guys-

I am currently up at EVO in Park City, thanks to my sponsor Avery. They set a few of us bloggers up in the suite at the Canyons resort. I couldn't be more stoked to be here.

Reader Request: Denim Shorts

Recently, I got a request from Erika,

I was wondering if you had any good sources for some cute knee length denim shorts. I've seen some cute ones that look like cut-off jeans, but are more finished looking. Any ideas? Thanks!

Erika

Shorts are everywhere this season! Knee length shorts... not so much. I found a few pairs that were close to knee length, but only one that really hit the mark:

Denim Short - Shade - $34.00 (Orig. $42.50)

These shade shorts are currently on sale for 20% off. I love the slim shape and dark wash.

Shabby Apple was kind enough to send me their Bugle Boy dress to review. And it's such a great dress! It's fully lined, has pockets and is sturdy enough to stand the test of time.

{I would have taken a picture but my brother is holding my Canon hostage (ok, so he's borrowing it) and the cheapo point and shoot we have is just not doing the job.}

Lovely Images

Sometimes, I just don't have a fashion post in me.

I have, however, been incredibly inspired by some interior images lately. My husband and I have been looking at buying a little run down bungalow (and by rundown, I mean in the saddest state I have ever seen) and it's raw potential is actually very inspiring. Now, all I want to do is stare at beautiful interiors all day long.

Friday Wishlist: Ann Taylor White Skinnies

White pants. Most people have an immediate and determined reaction to these. Last summer, I wore a pair of white sailor pants to work and a coworker said, "White pants, huh? That's brave." I don't think they are brave, I think they are fabulous.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of white skinnies this spring, and have been thus far disappointed. I had an epiphany, I have got to buy these at a truly adult store. Any pairs I have found in the juniors department have entirely too much stretch and for some reason are always distressed.

I spotted this pair in the sale section at Ann Taylor, after an email told me about new mark downs.

White Denim Modern Skinny Jeans - Ann Taylor - $59.99 (Orig. $88.00)

What do you guys think of white pants? Would you wear these? What's your fashion dream this week?

Outfit Under 100 (Muted Sparkle)

I spied this sequin tank at JCPenney this week (is anyone else shocked at all the good stuff at JCP lately?). I loved the muted color and it reminds me of this J.Crew sequin tank (at 1/5 of the price tag). I decided to pull at outfit together around it.

I 'Heart' Ronson Sequin Tank - JCPenney - $21.99 (Orig. $44.00)
Lightweight Twisted-Front Cardigan - Old Navy - $20 (Orig. $26.50)
Skinny Flood - White - Levi's - $29.90 (Orig. $59.50)
Merona Maire Peep Toe Wedges - Target - $24.99
TOTAL: $96.88

What do you guys think of the sequin top? Is this outfit something you would wear?

3 - Rock n Roll in Grey - Double Strap - $35

Look for Less: Anthro Puckered Eyelet Jacket

I have been coveting this blazer from Anthro since it popped up on the website. I happened upon a similar find at JCP last week and thought it was worth posting.

Puckered Eyelet Jacket - Anthropologie - $118.00
American Living Lucernce Jacket - JCPenney - $31.99 (Orig. $80.00)

The JCP option is missing the eyelet texture, but it's a great option in weight and shape. I think this would look adorable with just about everything this summer.

What do you think? Is this something you would wear?

Look for Less: Anthro Wee Flower Pot Posts

I was perusing Anthro's jewelry section and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I found these posts that are a dead ringer for Erica's earrings I gave away just last week.

Wee Flower Pot Posts - Anthropologie $24.00
Beauty Rose Earrnings in Pearly Cream - 28th Street Photo & Gift - $12.00

What do you think? A dead ringer, no?
